Founder's Story

I’M A LAID BACK PERSON

I’m from a rural village in China. Some people might call me lazy by nature. There’s even a Chinese saying that says “Laziness is the driving force for social progress”.

THE LITTLE GIRL WITH WHIMSICAL IDEAS

When I was little my middle school was a two-hour walk so I lived on campus for a week at a time. I would carry everything with me each direction so I had a super heavy school bag. This was quite a sight – a little girl with a huge school bag! My burden caused me to wonder if there was a way to add wheels to my school bag to form a sort of bag-cart. For a time I considered using a bike but many parts of the road were not very passable for a bike. Even if I had a suitable bike it would be even heavier than the bag. Besides, I was a terrible bike rider! I spent so many hours thinking of ways to lighten my load. In my life I have constantly considered ways to innovatively solve problems when they came to my mind. To be honest, I haven’t usually shared my ideas with others, including my parents, because I was sure they would just disregard my thoughts as whimsical ideas from a little girl.

THE GIRL WANTS TO REALIZE HER DREAMS

As I grew up I realized that many of my “whimsical” ideas were good! Many of my private ideas became true! What I didn’t realize is that there is a seed that gradually germinates in the heart. It is my dream to create and share new and different things to improve the way we live.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE TOGETHER

When I finally had the opportunity to realize my dreams, I created my company “ELLEWIN”. Our slogan is “Every Small Difference Can Bring You Out of the Ordinary”. Under this brand we provide unique items, either designed and created by ourselves, or hand-picked by us for their particular ingenuity. It is our hope and desire that everyone that buys ELLEWIN products can enjoy the ride with us as we make a difference together.
